A certain degree of physical harmony and comfort is necessary, but above a certain level it becomes a hindrance instead of a help. Therefore the ideal of creating an unlimited number of wants and satisfying them seems to be a delusion and a snare.

Wed, March 12, 2008 - 6:11 AMA Strange Bird
Look, how a strange bird flits in and out of the cage!
O brother, I wish I could bind it with my mindís fetters.
Have you seen a house of eight rooms with nine doors
Closed and open, with windows in between, mirrored?
O mind, you are a bird encaged! And of green sticks
Is your cage made, but it will be broken one day.
Lalon says: Open the cage, look how the bird wings away!

Re: Words to ponder and to live by.
Wed, March 12, 2008 - 8:48 AMThat is such bazaar timing Shamol. I JUST met a guy the other day that had a tattoo of an albatross sitting on a cliff edge, over it it said 'Fakir' and under it was "odd duck'' in Yiddish. I asked him why the two cultures represented in one tattoo. (Just being the curious gal I am) His mother was born in Northern India, but raised in Poland. His fathers was Jewish, raised in Poland. He, this gentleman that I was talking too, had always loved 'Indy" culture and grew up hearing old Yiddish from the elders in his family. Said that when he read an OLD poem the phrase odd duck popped into his head. I swear I am getting (no pun) goose bumps as I type this, the weirdness of the timing. If I see him again I will have to tell him about this. Thanks for your response to my post. -

Re: Words to ponder and to live by.
Fri, March 21, 2008 - 11:13 AMI found this this morning, and it was perfect timing. I was trying to explainthe concept of fregans to someone that has a lot of money to burn and never uses things twice. A pro waster. Anyhow, i was done trying to getthem to 'get it' , and then i came across this.
A king asked a sage to explain the Truth. In response the sage asked the king how he would convey the taste of a mango to someone who had never eaten anything sweet. No matter how hard the king tried, he could not adequately describe the flavor of the fruit, and, in frustration, he demanded of the sage "Tell me then, how would you describe it?" The sage picked up a mango and handed it to the king saying "This is very sweet. Try eating it!"

Sun, April 6, 2008 - 2:55 PMAll your words are so positive and beautiful.
I feel new hope living in me after reading these posts.
Times are changing, and I agree, that we have not even begun to see the full extend and reprecussions of these global shifts, if you will.
We, as a whole or humanity, MUST stand together in mutual support during these coming and present times.
It is so easy to get wrapped up in the material and money rat race that blinds.
I dont want to be one of those people. I want to see with new eyes, feel with new fingertips.
I am scared. Scared that I wont be as strong as I can be.
Scared that we will fall apart and turn against each other.
That we will be the end of ourselves.
Many blessings to you all, sisters and brothers.
Let's hold hands and pray.
Blessed Be

Mon, April 14, 2008 - 4:02 PMi'm glad Gandhi said "seems" there. Because, you know, he was "well educated" early on and all. Got a ticket on that train ride (depicted in the early portion of the movie) thanks to imagining he could freely be along with such privilege...
i agree with the sentiment, and dissent, i think on the alternatives so often picked (i.e. harmony is b.s.--not!). There are different forms of harmony, after all! Look at MoM Earth and HeR ways of getting into harmony with severely alienated human government methods! THAT's another form of harmony, y'all!
So now i'm seeing the key iz in how we dream ourselves awake!

as a wordsmith may i add some of my own? i assume acceptance and i beleive we should as spiritual beings keep evolving and taylor make motivation and goals to everyone's northand south polls in other words create a focus on becoming a time paradox in order for guiding 3rd eyes to pop open which is the point of true reality control and integrating techings into teaching ability (A.K.A. auric color correction, healing etc.). we are only as strong as our weakest chakra and the onlyself reflexive true cipher of discrimination and energetic sublimation is the all seeing eye. a zen past? my first oxymoron at last.

Non-violence means dialogue, using our language, the human language. Dialogue means compromise; respecting each other’s rights; in the spirit of reconciliation there is a real solution to conflict and disagreement.
